05 April

My first proper field trip was marked by strong winds, thin and milky clouds and 15°C (11:35 AM).

The winds were strong enough that most butterflies were hiding near the ground. It thus was quite the surprise when one A. cardamines jumped on another butterfly that turned out to be a N. polychloros that was hiding between a pile of rotten leafs.

Other than that, the cherry blossoms attracted plenty of bees. Those were the least bothered by the strong winds.
