01 May

Mostly cloudy conditions, weak to moderate but strong winds five meters above the ground and 15.1°C (10:48 AM) don't sound ideal, especially after multiple rainy days. Zone I and III thus were skipped for the most part due to slippery grounds.

My mother spotted an unidentified dragonfly just an hour after my field trip, yet she was unable to make out any details besides its size.

On a semi-related note, the car traffic on the bike path still is higher compared to before the road blockage last summer and so far I did not experience a single trip where I haven't been passed by a car or had to make space for one. It has gotten so bad that one of my neighbors recently lost one of their two cats to a car illegaly using the bike path like a regular rode, including speeding through two of my main zones. The amount of cyclists also has increased noticeably. With the upcoming holidays and a town anniversary nearby it's guaranteed that I won't record anything but (drunk) tourists, hence there won't be any field trips between the 14th up until the 17th and from the 23rd to the 25th of May. If the current weather is set to persist, it may be likely that there won't be any more May observations.

Sadly, this season so far has been anything but enjoyable. The poor weather is one thing that can be excused, however the sheer amount of tourists and the growing amount of plain idiots using my paths as a shortcut is becoming intolerable. My motivation is at an all-time low.
