27 & 28 June (Additional Note)
Although the 27th technically would fall under a small but proper field trip, it wasn't my primary motivation. With very few clouds, weak winds and 25.8° at 8:53 AM, it was obvious that I needed to be somewhere cool soon. My weather station recorded 40.3° at 2:07 PM.

The cemetery in particular attracted dozens of P. rapae due to three graves providing lavender for insects – an overall impressive watch.
While I chose to edit my shots and work on my oblog in the early morning of the 28th, I was unable to fully confirm the following observations my mother made. Nevertheless there's little doubt about the validity of each.

The heat wave currently breaks multiple records, including the earliest appearance of A. hyperantus to date. An additional M. jurtina was spotted in the afternoon. The heat wave is said to end tomorrow.
